American rapper NLE Choppa recently announced the arrival of their son, Chozen Wone Da’Shun Potts, who was born to him and his companion Marissa Da’Nae.

The rapper shared several pictures and clips from the hospital where he was seen holding the newborn baby.

Who is ChoZen Wone?

ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts is the newly-born son of rapper NLE Choppa and his partner Marissa Da’Nae. The rapper shared the news on Instagram by sharing pictures with the caption, “Chozen Wone Da’Shun Potts, August – 16th – 2023 ; 6:53am,So Thankful For This Journey And So Grateful For God Blessing Me With You 🙏🏼🥺🩵”

NLE Choppa also released a sweet image of the baby’s footprint along with a video in which he carefully moves the baby’s hand to make a fun gesture. NLE Choppa also has a third child from a prior relationship with Mariah, making this their second child together.

The Shade Room broke the news of the birth, which prompted a statement from NLE Choppa. He gave an explanation for his son’s unusual name in the comments section. He started by dissecting the parts of the name: He introduced himself as “Chozen Wone,” stating that he was “ZEN – Zenful Energy From The Divine, Won – he had already won at life, and One – the chosen one. Marissa’s middle name is Da’Nae, while mine is Da’Shun. The rapper continued, “His name is special to us, to everything that really matters. But his name is that way for a reason. We are unique when we leave the womb.

As per multiple reports, the journey to parenthood for NLE Choppa and Marissa has not been without its share of challenges. The couple suffered heartache in March 2022 when they lost their baby son, known as “Seven,” as a result of a miscarriage. More recently, Marissa spoke up about the Memphis rapper’s online actions and absence during her pregnancy.
