After almost two decades of dating and engagement, Michelle Yeoh, an Oscar winner, and Jean Todt, her longtime partner, got married. The 60-year-old “Everything Everywhere All at Once” actor married Jean Todt on July 27 in Geneva, Switzerland, in front of friends and family.

Who is Jean Todt?

Jean Todt is a prominent figure in the world of motorsport and automobile racing. He was born on February 25, 1946, in Pierrefort, France, and is currently 67 years old. Throughout his career, Jean Todt has succeeded and influenced the management of motorsports in a variety of ways.

Prior to being named CEO of Ferrari from 2004 to 2008, Todt served as the director of Peugeot Talbot Sport and the team principal of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team. He was the ninth president of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) from 2009 to 2021.

From 1966 through 1981, Todt competed in World Championship rallies as a rally co-driver before teaming up with Guy Fréquelin to win the Constructors’ World Rally Championship with Talbot Lotus.

Peugeot won the Paris-Dakar Rally four times, the World Rally Championship four times, and the Le Mans 24 Hours twice while Todt was in charge. Ferrari teams won 14 Formula One World Championship titles while he was in command of the group.

Furthermore, Michael Schumacher achieved 72 of his 91 victories and five straight World Drivers’ Championships under Todt’s direction from 2000 to 2004. In October 2009, Todt was elected President of the FIA. Then, in December 2013 and December 2017, he was re-elected.

The final month of Todt’s most recent presidency of the FIA was December 2021. Todt was also chosen to serve as the UN Special Envoy for Road Safety on April 29, 2015.

On June 4, 2004, Todt and Yeoh met in Shanghai. A little over a month later, on July 24, 2004, he proposed. The pair have now tied the knot, 19 years later.

The happy couple’s photos and a note remembering their journey was posted by Brazilian Formula One racer Felipe Massa, 42, who wrote the caption, “Happy marriage #JeanTodt and #michelleyeoh, we love you so much.”
