Julie Banderas, Fox News anchor announced she was getting a divorce during an on-air discussion about Valentine’s Day.

Banderas shared the relationship update on Thursday night during an appearance on the conservative news network’s comedy show Gutfeld!

Towards the end of the show host, Greg Gutfeld asked the news anchor asked Banderas, who has been married to husband Andrew Sansone since 2009, whether she would be getting anything for Valentine’s Day.

“Fuck Valentine’s Day,” Banderas told “Gutfeld!” host Greg Gutfeld on Thursday. “It is stupid. I mean, even when I was married, I didn’t get shit.”

The anchor made the obvious revelation about her marital status.

“Well, I am going to get a divorce. I am going to go ahead and say it here for the first time,” said Banderas, announcing her separation from Sansone.

“Thank you, everyone. Congratulations are in order,” she said after getting some audience applause. “That was breaking news.”

Banderas then called Valentine’s Day a “Hallmark holiday,” “stupid” and “absolutely ridiculous.”

Who is Julie Banderas?

Julie Banderas is a television news anchor for the Fox News Channel, based in New York City. She hosted Fox Report Weekend before moving to a weekday anchor role. She joined the network in 2005.

Julie was born on September 25, 1973, in Hartford, Connecticut. She graduated from Emerson College with a BS in broadcast journalism. She has been married to Andrew Sansone since August 29, 2009. The couple has three children.

She started her career at WLVI-TV (CW 56) in Boston, MA. She also worked as the weekend anchor at WNYW-TV (FOX 5) in New York and also served as an anchor for several local news stations.

During her stint at FNC, Banderas has reported on several big stories, including Hurricane Dennis in 2005, the disappearance of US Student Natalee Holloway who went missing in Aruba in 2005, the legal case of Terri Schiavo from Florida, and the murder of 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford by a registered sex offender. She was awarded the “Outstanding Single Newscast” Emmy award for her coverage of the Republican National Convention in 2004.
