Modern Krypto has all the same powers but with a normal canine intellect, amplifying the acts of a normal dog and inadvertently causing damage. He’s already a veteran of ‘Superman: Birthright, ‘The Sinestro Corps War’, ‘The New 52’ and ‘DC Rebirth’.

Krypto seems to have a general understanding of speech and can take initiatives of his own, such as vowing to protect Metropolis from Atlas because of his knowledge of the fact that Superman himself protects and cares for the city. Krypto can, as a conscious act, fire a beam of heat at a target by looking at it. Krypto’s hearing is sensitive any sound at any pitch or volume. With concentration, he can block out ambient sounds and focus on a specific source.

Krypto’s vision has the ability to see things at a great distance, without violating the laws of physics. He has the ability to see through any volume of matter except lead. Krypto can move at an incredible speed by sheer force of will. He has the ability to create hurricane-force winds by exhaling air from his lungs. He can chill the air as it leaves his lungs to freeze targets. He also has the ability to reverse the process to pull a large volume of air and vapour into his lungs.
