After a bullet ripped through their Tennessee house, TikTok sensation Lexy Burke and her country singer husband Austin Burke are left frightened.
Austin told TMZ that he was resting on his couch while Lexy was upstairs having a bath on Sunday night when they both heard gunshots and felt their house shake.
Who is Lexy Burke?
Lexy Burke is a Tiktok star who has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations through her TikTok account. She uses the money to surprise random service industry workers with $1,000 tips.
Burke, the Nashville resident dubbed as the “serial tipper,” launched a chain reaction of good actions with her Venmo challenge, tipping more than 168 service industry workers affected by the pandemic. Burke received a pleasant surprise in 2022 when former grantees contacted out to praise her for her efforts.

After one of Lexy Burke’s videos went viral, the Burkes’ version of the “Venmo challenge” — in which social media followers are invited to pay as little as 50 cents to a do-gooder to make a stranger’s day — went into overdrive.
Lexy and Austin Burke have both worked as servers in Nashville, and she herself received a $1,000 tip in 2017 while working at Honky Tonk Central on Lower Broadway.
Regarding the attack, Austin stated that they reviewed their CCTV cameras after the attack and heard a gun being loaded, cocked, and shot. He phoned the cops, who arrived promptly and discovered a bullet hole in the house’s façade.
TMZ received a snapshot of the bullet hole as well as home security footage that includes the gunshot. The video does not show who fired the shot.
According to Nashville police, authorities attended to the couple’s house over the weekend for a complaint of shots fired. No arrests have been made, and the case is still being investigated.
Austin described it as “incredibly unsettling” that a gun was shot at their home in the middle of the night while his pregnant wife was inside. He had no notion who was responsible.
