The “All Star” singer of the 1990s and 2000s band Smash Mouth, Steve Harwell, has died. He was 56.

In a statement to Rolling Stone on Monday, his passing was confirmed. According to Robert Hayes, manager of Smash Mouth, he “passed peacefully and comfortably” at his Boise, Idaho, home “surrounded by friends and family.”

Harwell was married to Michelle Laroque and the couple had a son together, who died six months after birth.
