Pony Verma, whose real name is Rashmi Verma, is a dance choreographer. She began her dance journey in the year 2000. Pony married actor Prakash Raj on August 24, 2010. The couple has one son, who was born in February 2016.

Prakash Raj and Pony Verma, who celebrated their wedding anniversary on Tuesday, remarried. The actor took to his Twitter to share the reason behind their remarriage.

He tweeted four photos and wrote, “We got married again tonight..because our son #vedhant wanted to witness it Smiling face with heart-shaped eyesSmiling face with heart-shaped eyesSmiling face with heart-shaped eyes. Family moments #bliss”

Pony has been a part of several dance reality shows, including ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom’ for Colors channel.

She has worked as choreographer on films, including ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, Un Samayal Arayil, Zanjeer, Zila Ghaziabad, The Dirty Picture, Badrinath, Naughty @ 40, Ala Modalaindi, Guzaarish, Khatta Meetha, Prince, Aakasamanth, Chandni Chowk to China, Ugly Aur Pagli, Hastey Hastey, Idhi Sangathi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Aap Kaa Surroor.

She once revealed the reason behind her name Pony. In an interview with New Indian Express, she said that she was a premature baby and had lot of wrinkles on her body. When the nurses took her to her mother, she said that her body resembled a ‘pona’ and her aunt named her Pony. In Punjabi, the cloth used to make chapattis in the kitchen is called ‘pona’.

Prakash Raj was earlier married to Lalitha Kumari and has two daughters with her-Meghana and Pooja.

Prakash Raj is best known for his work in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil movies. He is also a producer and director. In Bollywood, Prakash Raj has starred in films such as Khakee, Wanted, Singham, Dabangg 2, among others.

Earlier this month, he suffered a “tiny fracture” and underwent a surgery in Hyderabad. He shared about the surgery on Instagram and wrote that the surgery was successful.
