Annabelle Ham, a popular YouTuber, was discovered dead at the age of 22 after having an epileptic event, according to her family. Ham’s older sister Alexandria had previously mentioned in a Facebook post that Annabelle was last seen walking along a pier.

According to reports, the Atlanta native was attending a bachelorette party on Saturday when she was reported missing in Fairhope, Alabama.

‘We’re writing this with heavy, heavy hearts. Annabelle experienced an epileptic event and has gone on to the gates of heaven,’ her family wrote on Monday. ‘She struggled with this for a long time and wanted to raise awareness for it, which we will do in honor of her.’

Fairhope Police released a statement on the investigation, saying that they had responded to a report at 3:32 PM about a person who had gone missing and had been discovered dead. They have ruled out any wrongdoing. It is unknown what caused the death. Her family has requested privacy while they mourn Annabelle in light of the rumors that followed the student’s passing.

‘Please don’t post or spread speculation or details that are unfounded. There will be a time to share more details and to go deeper into her life,’ they wrote. ‘Unnecessary comments only serve to hurt us all, this is a time for remembrance and mourning. Thank you,’ they added.

Her YouTube channel had more than 77,000 subscribers and she had more than 70,000 Instagram followers. In 2014, she started posting videos about her lifestyle on YouTube, where she first gained a following.

Annabelle frequently vlogged about her experiences as a college student in addition to giving beauty tips. Three weeks before her death, Annabelle made her final YouTube video, in which she discussed microblading her eyebrows.
