The Vikings will put on their uniforms when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1’s home opener. The franchise made four Super Bowl appearances throughout the 1960s and the 1970s when these were worn. The “Classic” has a richer purple color, conventional text and numbers, gold trim accents, and gold and white stripes.

Even though the jerseys don’t appear to be very different, there are a lot of distinctive elements. Even the helmets and pants have some special characteristics. The purple color is a little different, the gold trim and style highlights pay homage to the franchise’s jerseys from that era. The lettering for the numbers is likewise different.
