Late legendary comic book writer Stan Lee’s fans celebrated his
100th birthday on December 28, 2022.

Pop culture star Stan Lee is considered to play a
revolutionary role in the world of comic books. Many characters of the marvel
world like Spider-man, the X-Men, the Avengers, and many more are created by
him.

This great Marvel icon is still being missed by his fans after
5 years of his death. Marvel comic and Lee’s fans took to Twitter and gave
tribute to the comic world’s master.

American filmmaker, writer, and actor Kevin Smith called Stan
Lee and maestro and wrote, “Today, @TheRealStaneLee would’ve turned 100
years old! The @Marvel maestro was always a hero of mine, but thanks to
making MALLRATS with him, we actually became friends! I miss the Old Man and
his endless parade of smiles and good cheer. Happy Birthday, Emperor of
Excelsior!”

A tweet from Lee’s account was also posted on the occasion
of his 100th birthday which read “100 years ago, Stan was born in NYC. Over the
last century, his work changed the pop culture landscape & influenced
millions. At LA Comic Con, fans left messages for Stan’s centennial.
Inspiration. Legend. Hero. These are some of the words that came up again &
again.”

Who was Stan Lee?

Stanley Martin Lieber popularly known by his fans as Stan
Lee was an American comic book writer, producer, editor, and publisher. He was
born on December 28, 1922, in New York City, United States.

He studied at the DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx. He
graduated from high school in 1939 and then joined the WPA Federal Theatre
Project.

He created his first superheroes the Fantastic Four in the
world of Marvel. The characters got immensely popular and Lee further co-created
characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Thor, the X-Men, and
many more. Amongst these, Spider-Man came out as his most successful character.

He retired from Marvel in the 1990s but got credits as the executive
producer which made him the highest-grossing person in film of all time.  He was awarded the National Medal of Arts in
2008.

He got married to Joan Boocock in 1947. Stan took his last
breath on November 12, 2018, at the age of 95 in Los Angeles.

His net worth was estimated to be $50 million.
