NBA YoungBoy fans were left feeling disappointed and dejected when the rapper failed to show up for his own album release party on Thursday.

A recent TMZ report said that the rapper, who is currently on house arrest, had scheduled an album release party at Elevate Lounge in Los Angeles for his just-released album, Don’t Try This at Home, where fans were promised that the rapper would appear via satellite video from Salt Lake City, Utah.

NBA Young Boy was supposed to appear in front of eagerly gathered fans at midnight. However, he did not show up.

Why did NBA YoungBoy miss his own album Don’t Try This At Home release party?

An insider initially told TMZ the 23-year-old rapper fell asleep.

However, later on, YoungBoy’s reps rubbished his seeing report, releasing a statement to TMZ, which said: “There was a technical difficulty and they couldn’t get NBA YoungBoy on the live stream. They tried Zoom and FaceTime without any success and unfortunately, NBA YoungBoy was unable to connect with his friends and fans.”

The party space reportedly cost the rapper’s team $200,000 to rent.

NBA Youngboy has remained on house arrest since late 2021 after being hit with a number of drug, felony possession, and stolen firearms charges stemming from a September of 2020 arrest in Baton Rouge. After putting up $1.5 million bail, the judge ordered him to live on house arrest. No visitors are allowed at Defendant’s home before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m.

As per the judge’s orders, he is not allowed more than three visitors at a time outside of his wife, business manager, and producer, who also resided in the same home.
