Actor Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about the ‘engagement rumour with Katrina Kaif that made round a few months ago and had fans all charged up. Blaming the paparazzi for the unwarranted claim, Kaushal said that will get engaged when the right time comes.

For the unversed, not so soon ago, a rumour claiming Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal and his rumoured partner Katrina Kaif had an intimate ‘Roka ceremony and are now engaged. The claim obviously turned out to be false but created a huge buzz on social media among fans.

Recently, Vicky Kaushal, while addressing the media on the rumour said that he will get engaged soon enough.

“The news was circulated by your friends (media people). I’ll get engaged soon enough when the time is right. Uska bhi time aayega (the time will come),” Vicky told a leading daily.

Katrina and Vicky are rumoured to be dating for quite some time now and often get spotted together.

On Friday, Katrina Kaif also attended the special screening of Kaushal’s new release ‘Sardar Uddham.’ In fact, she was one of the first actors from Bollywood to praise the director Shoojit Sircar and Vicky Kaushal for their work.

Sharing Sardar Uddham’s poster that bears Vicky Kaushal’s picture on her Instagram story, Katrina applauded the entire team including the director Shoojit Sircar.

“@shoojitsircar what a vision, such a gripping beautiful film, pure unadulterated storytelling – @vickykaushal is just pure talent, raw, honest, heartbreaking.” She added a broken heart, hands joined in prayer and a star emoji alongside the caption.

Sardar Udham, a movie based on freedom fighter Uddham Singh, was released on Amazon Prime Video on October 16 and has so far received positive reviews. 

Meanwhile, the film’s director Shoojit Sircar said Sardar Uddhav was his passion project for the past 20 years when he first visited the Jallianwala Bagh massacre site and reflects his idea of a revolutionary perfectly. 

‘Sardar Uddham’ revolves around the life of a brave revolutionary freedom fighter who assassinated then-Punjab Lieutenant Governor Michael O’Dwyer in London.
