Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has turned 78 on Sunday and even though he has spent over five decades in the Bollywood, his excitement towards work refuses to die down. Over the years, the “Shehanshah” of Bollywood has not only inspired many with his sheer dedication and utmost sincerity towards craft but is also one of the busiest actors in B-town.

From “Jhund”, “Brahmastra” to yet-to-be-titled Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer film, the senior Bachchan is setting examples for the next generation. Here is a look at some of his projects.

Nag Ashwin’s yet-to-be-titled project: Big B will star alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the upcoming film to be directed by Nag Ashwin. The director clarified that the legendary star will have a full-length role in the project and that his character’s name was the working title of an early draft. The film will be shot in Telugu and will be dubbed into other languages. 

Rumi Jaffery’s ‘Chehre’: Big B will be donning the role of Lawyer yet again for the film after much acclaimed “Pink” and “Badla”. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda, and Rhea Chakraborty. 

Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘Brahmastra’: This is one of the most anticipated trilogy films that will be presented in three parts . Apart from leading pair Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan will also play a prominent role in it.

Nagraj Manjule’s ‘Jhund’: Big B will play the role of a football coach in the film and has been busy shooting for the project since 2019. The film is said to be based on the life of social worker Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer, an organisation which uplifts underprivileged children through football.

T Tamilvanan’s ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’:  The bilingual film also stars Ramya Krishnan, and SJ Suryah. The shooting of the film was underway when the lockdown was announced in March. 

Apart from film projects, he is also back on the sets of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” with season 12. He started working on the new season on the quiz show back in May after recovering from COVID-19.
