Who is YNW Melly
YNW Melly started his music career by publishing tunes on SoundCloud. He rose to prominence in 2018 after releasing hit singles such as Virtual (Blue Balenciagas) and 772 Love, and he became well-known for his freestyle rapping. Murder on My Mind remains his most popular song to this day.
Charge against Melly
In Florida, a double murder trial in which rapper YNW Melly is accused of killing two of his friends has begun.
The rapper, born Jamell Demons, is on trial for allegedly murdering two rappers in October 2018 and presenting it as a drive-by shooting.
The 24-year-old is accused of murdering YNW Juvy, real name Christopher Thomas Jr., and YNW Sakchaser, aka Anthony Williams, with Cortlen Henry, also known as YNW Bortlen.

It was announced earlier this month that Demons will be the first person tried under a new statute that makes it easier for a jury to decide whether the rapper will receive capital punishment.
Instead of requiring a unanimous majority, the jury just needs to rule 8-4 in favor of taking his life.
