The winner of Masterchef Australia Season 13 has been announced. It is Indian-origin contestant Justin Narayan, who got to lift the winner’s trophy at the season finale on Tuesday.
Taking to social media, Masterchef Australia wrote, “Congratulations to our #MasterChefAU 2021 WINNER!”

A Fijian-Indian, Justin is the second Indian-origin contestant to lift the Masterchef’s trophy after Sashi Cheliah who won the competition in 2018.
Justin hails from Western Australia and started cooking at the age of 13. He is of Fijian and Indian origin and his twin heritage has had an influence on him, India Today reported.
Justin calls his mother one of his biggest inspirations and the best cook he knows.
He visited India in 2017 and on the show, he experimented with all kinds of cuisines, including Indian. Among the dishes that won him judges’ praises include Indian chicken tacos, flatbread and pickle salad, Indian chicken curry, among others.
“What the actual heck!” Justin exclaimed after his big win.
“It’s a surreal feeling,” he said, adding that it would take time to sink in.
“I’m keen to party with these guys, but a huge thank you to the judges, the other contestants – Pete, Kishwar. Pete in particular. ‘I freaking love you, bro,'” Justin said.
He called winning the Masterchef competition the “best experience” of his entire life.

“My mind is blown,” he said.
Justin’s co-finalists were Pete Campbell from New South Wales and Kishwar Chowdhury, who is of Bangladeshi origin.
