Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, after his sensational run with the ‘go
corona, go’ chant earlier this year during the early phases of the lockdown, on
Sunday came up with a new slogan – ‘No Corona’- claiming that it is in response
to the new strain of the coronavirus, reported PTI.

“I gave the ‘Go Corona Go’ slogan and the virus is now going. But
it also came near me, leading to my hospitalisation (after testing COVID-19
positive). I thought coronavirus would not reach me but it can reach
anywhere,” PTI quoted Athawale as saying.

The Union Minister further made his case by saying that for the new
strain, he would be saying ‘No Corona, No Corona’ as he did not want “either
the old coronavirus or the new strain to infect us”.

Athawale was released from a Mumbai hospital last month, 10 days after
testing positive for the coronavirus.

Earlier this year on February, a video surfaced of Athawale alongside
a Chinese diplomat and Buddhist monks chanting “Go corona, go corona” at a prayer
meeting, and predictably went viral on social media.
