Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Friday, December 03, 2021. Gold futures were trading at Rs 47214.00 per 10 gm, down 364 points or 0.77%, in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at $1,769.99 per oz.

Platinum was trading at $938.00 while palladium was trading at $1,779.50. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61120.00 per kg, down 187 points or 0.31%. In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 46,460 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 60,789 per kg on Thursday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

In Delhi, the rate of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 51,000, while in Mumbai the yellow metal’s price is at Rs 47,580. The price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold in Delhi and Mumbai is at Rs 46,750 and Rs 46,580, respectively.

In Chennai, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 48,730 on Friday, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold is selling at Rs 44,670. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold is selling at Rs 49,600, while 22-carat gold’s price is at Rs 46,900.

In Chennai, the price of 1 kg of silver is at Rs 65,000 on Friday while in Delhi and Mumbai, the metal is selling at Rs 60,700. Silver is trading at Rs 60,700 per kg in Kolkata and Bangalore, while in Hyderabad, the rate is Rs 65,000.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of Rs 56,200 in 2020 as the dollar strengthened on hopes of a swift economic recovery as Covid vaccination picked up the pace.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 725.00 down 0.80% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1539.00 and Rs 210.05 per Kg respectively on MCX.
