Sri Lankan actor Jacqueline Fernandez has put out a statement on her social media, asking people to respect her privacy and personal space.
She resurfaced in the public eye as an unseen photo of her and conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has gone viral on social media. Chandrashekhar is seen kissing Fernandez on the nose in the shot, which has gone viral on social media.

In the statement, she said, “I am currently going through a rough patch but I’m sure that my friends and fans will see me through it.”
This refers to not only the hullabaloo created in the media due to her association with Chandrashekhar. The actor’s mother suffered from a stroke earlier this week and has been hospitalized in Bahrain.
A photo of the couple had previously caught everyone’s attention.

The Enforcement Directorate had already questioned Fernandez in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. He promised the actress a part in a major Hollywood production.
Chandrashekhar treated her with gifts from well-known labels such as Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and a Mini Cooper. In addition, he offered her a part in a Hollywood movie. She received a letter from the Hollywood production business after they promised her a role.

The heat and hate Fernandez is dealing with ever since her images with the conman went public has been intense. She addressed it in her statement and said, “You would not do this to your loved ones, I’m sure you would not do this to me either. Hoping that justice and good sense prevails.”
Chandrashekhar was said to be in contact with a number of actors. He was arrested in the Rs 200 crore extortion case last year.
