“COVID situation in Delhi very serious, fourth peak of virus is more dangerous than November 2020 peak. I appeal people to not step out of their houses unless it’s very important,” he said, reported PTI.

“I have requested the Centre many times regarding the removal of age restrictions on taking the vaccine. Delhi Govt is ready to conduct a door to door campaign to vaccinate people. 65% of patients in Delhi are below 35 years of age,” Kejriwal said, reported ANI.

The chief minister said he doesn’t want to impose a lockdown in the national capital.

“Check the availability of beds on our app before going to hospitals. Occupy beds only if there is an emergency. I am not in favour of lockdown but a shortage of beds and failure in hospital management will leave us with no option,” he added.

Kejriwal asked all political parties to work together to fight the coronavirus spread, saying it was not time to do politics and point fingers.

Delhi on Saturday reported 10,732 fresh cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, India on Saturday recorded 1,52,879 new cases of COVID-19, its highest single-day spike ever, the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday showed.
