Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced a
weekend curfew in the capital to curb the rampant spread of COVID-19. Passes
will be issued to those providing essential services. The restrictions will apply
from 10 pm on Friday to 6 am on Monday.

What is closed:

· Weddings will be allowed to go on. Passes will be provided to those attending weddings.

·       
Spas: Closed

·       
Gyms: Closed

·       
Auditoriums: Closed

What is open:

·        Essential services 

·        Restaurants: Dine-in not allowed, only home deliveries permitted

·       One weekly market per day per zone, crowd-control measures to remain in place in the markets

· Cinema halls: Seating capacity brought down to 30%

“Curfew passes to be issued to those rendering essential
services. Malls, gyms, spas and auditoriums to be closed. Cinema halls to
operate at 30% capacity only. People will not be allowed to dine-in
restaurants, only home deliveries permitted”, ANI quoted Kejriwal as saying.

Addressing the citizens, the Chief Minister had also said earlier
on Thursday that there was no lack of hospital beds in Delhi.

“There is no shortage of beds in hospitals in Delhi.
According to the latest data, more than 5000 beds are available”, he was quoted
as saying.

Delhi on Wednesday recorded 17,282 fresh cases of Covid-19,
the highest since the coronavirus outbreak first began, with 104 new deaths raising
the total number of COVID-19 induced deaths to 11,540.
