The number of
cases reported at the Eluru Government Hospital due to ‘mystery disease’ took a
nosedive on Wednesday morning as the number came down to 77 from 123 patients
earlier today, reported ANI quoting Dr AVR Mohan.

He informed that 20 more patients will be discharged by Wednesday morning.

With coronavirus
already plaguing lives, the mystery disease has shaken the state as over 350 people have
fallen sick in the Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh.

The incident has
triggered panic among the residents.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s office on Tuesday released
a statement on the mysterious illness saying “Lead and nickel were found in blood samples of patients” in an investigation carried out by the All
India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) team.
