“Enough is enough,” the court told the Centre, while noting the deaths at Batra Hospital.
“Water has gone above the head. Now we mean business,” it said and told the Centre that it “will arrange everything now.”
It directed the Centre to ensure the city gets its 490 MT of oxygen supply “today itself, or face contempt”, reported PTI.
During the hearing, when several hospitals told the HC that their supplier Linde Air was not providing oxygen, the court directed the Centre’s counsel to take up the matter with the officers of the Central government.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday requested the “decision-makers” with “folded hands” for the supply of oxygen, reported the news agency.
He said that SOS was coming from all the hospitals that they were running out of oxygen.
The Delhi CM said that the city requires 976 MT of oxygen daily, but was allotted “only 490 MT”. And on Friday, it received only 312 MT.
“How will this work?” Kejriwal is asked.
As India is reeling under an aggressive second wave of COVID-19, it’s facing a major shortage of oxygen supply. While hospitals are reporting a shortage, people are queuing up at oxygen plants to get oxygen cylinders filled.
