The farmers’ protest enters its 60th day on Sunday, with Delhi Police on Saturday allowing the protesting farmers to hold the proposed ‘Kisan Gantantra Parade’ after the meeting concluded between the two sides.

The tractor rally parade, covering a distance of more than 100 kilometres, will begin only after the official Republic Day parade will conclude, PTI reported.

Around one lakh tractor-trolleys from all over India will take part in the protest as a sign of solidarity. Organisers of the rally also said that tableaux depicting protest against the three farm laws will feature in the parade.

Dependra Pathak, Special CP, Intelligence, Delhi Police claimed that 308 twitter handles had been generated from Pakistan from January 13 to January 18 to build chaos in the tractor rally. He also stated that the rally will enter Delhi from Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders.

In addition to this, Delhi Police Commissioner informed all officers deployed for Republic Day parade security to be ready to move at short notice to maintain law and order at the Kisan tractor rally, ANI reported. Farmers from Nashik reached Azad Maidan in Mumbai in support of the farmers sitting in protest at Delhi borders.
