Gold prices rose on Monday as US treasury bond yields fell. The outlook for gold, on the other hand, remains sensitive to aggressive interest rate rises by central banks.

At its June and July policy meets, the Fed is expected to raise interest rates by a half-point, and Friday’s employment data increased the likelihood of rate hikes even more.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Monday, June 6, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,080.00 per 10 gm, up 110 points or 0.22%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 62,518.00 per kg, up 849 points or 1.38%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,854.83 per oz while Silver is priced at $22.23. Platinum was trading at $1,019.92 while palladium was trading at $2,030.08.
In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,220 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 62,788 per kg on Friday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 794.90 down 0.64% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 688.40 and Rs 236.70 per Kg respectively on MCX.
