Actor Lara Dutta retweeted a video of her final question and answer session of the Miss Universe pageant of 2000, where she was crowned the winner. While everyone was impressed with her elegance, Lara revealed that she was too nervous during the time.

The official Twitter handle of Miss Universe on Wednesday shared a clip of Lara Dutta answering questions at the pageant. They commented on how she “blew away” the competition. Towards the end of the video, the hosts praised her for being so calm.

“A few moments after this @LaraDutta was crowned Miss Universe 2000! She blew away the competition,” they wrote. Lara retweeted it saying, “For all that ‘calm’ I was a bundle of nerves!!! Every time I look at this, I keep thinking I must have tapped into some zen zone!! Grace from above.”

The video features Lara in a sequined red gown, answering questions about her family, country and culture. In one answer, she praises women politicians of India and says that their sensitivity sets them apart from their male counterparts. In another, she talks about Indian dance form, Bharatanatyam, and even shows some ‘mudras’ from the same.

Lara has completed 20 years of Miss universe this year. On May 13, 200, Lara was crowned winner at the pageant. She took to Instagram and shared several pictures of the time.
