India defeated Australia in the second T-20 International
match in Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, sealing the 3-match series with an
unassailable 2-0 lead over the hosts.

Batting first, Australia put up a good show as Matthew
Wade (58 off 32 balls) led the Aussies during the early overs after the
dismissal of D’Arcy Short (9 runs off 9 balls) by T Natarajan, but had to leave
the field due to an impressive run-out by Virat Kohli. Not long after, Glenn
Maxwell, potential troublemaker for India after his powerful performance in the
last match, left the crease after scoring 22 off 13 balls, thanks to Shardul
Thakur.

Continuing to build their innings up, Australia
eventually managed to reach the scoreline 194/5, heavily contributed by Steven
Smith (46 off 38) and Moises Henriques (26 off 18).

In the Indian innings, Shikhar Dhawan triggered the early
runs, and after the departure of KL Rahul, made some quick scores off
boundaries and over-boundaries.

Kohli (40 off 24) stopped 10 runs of a half century, but
importantly, put the team on the spot as Pandya (42* off 22), coming down later
in the middle order, thrashed the Aussie bowling with two boundaries and three
fours to take India to victory, also acquiring the Man of the Match award.
