Sachin Tendulkar is one of the most known players in the world of cricket and perhaps, the most complete batsman of his time. Fans attribute him as “God of cricket.” His batting was based on the economy of movement, precision in stroke-making and his principle of anticipation to win. He currently holds the record for most hundreds in both Tests and ODIs. 

Tendulkar’s records stay unbroken even after a long time since his retirement. Marking 11 years of him scoring the first-ever double hundred in men’s ODI, here are some of his records from all forms of cricket:

In Tests

Tendulkar has scored most runs in the Tests and still holds the record for making most runs in the Test with 15,921 runs in his Test career. Tendulkar also scored 51 hundreds in Test Cricket – the most by any batsman and is the only batsman to score more than 50 hundreds in Test matches. He also scored 68 fifties, most by any batsman.

In ODI’s 

Sachin also has the record of scoring the most runs in ODI’s as well. He has scored a total of 18,426 runs in his ODI career. He also holds the record for the longest ODI career, as he played 50-over cricket for a staggering 22 years and 91 days. He was the first batsman to cross 10,000 runs in ODI.

He holds the record of most number of centuries in 50-over cricket as well with 49 centuries in his name. He also scored 96 fifties, which is the most by any batsman in ODI’s.

In first-class cricket

Tendulkar scored over 25000 runs in first-class cricket. He also scored 81 hundreds during his 25-year career. Tendulkar scored 100 runs not out in his debut match for Bombay against Gujarat, making him the youngest batsman at the the age of 16 to score a century on debut in first-class cricket.
