The Indian Cricket team on Sunday finished their three-day pink-ball
warm up game against Australia-A before going up against an Australia side
experienced in the day-night format, PTI reported.

In spite of getting stunted on multiple occasions, Australia dragged
themselves up from the score of 25 for loss of three wickets and managed to
reach the high of 305 for the loss of four wicket, thanks to valuable centuries
by Ben McDermott and Jack Wildermuth.

The former, Aussie batter and son of former Baggie Green member Craig
McDermott, added 117 runs with Captain Alex Carrey in the fourth-wicket
partnership.

The Test series will be getting underway on December 17 on
Adelaide.

Alongside McDermott (107 off 167 balls), Jack Wildermuth (111 off 119 balls) too got
off to a bright start on a day that seemingly had in store a bit of optimism
for both sides.

Within the
first hour, Indian pacer Mohammad Shami sent back Joe Burns (1) and Marcus
Harris (5), probable Test openers in the series against India with a figure of
2/58 in 13 overs.

In the
batting line-up too, things looked good with Shubman Gill’s composed batting in
the opening as well as Hanuma Vihari’s controlled, patient century to build the
innings up.

KL Rahul
further caught eyes with his batting, being utilitarian in nature and possibly
compatible with both opening and the middle order.
