The BCCI today announced that the IPL 2021 would begin on April 9. The first match will be between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Fans couldn’t have asked for anything more than a clash between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli at the start of the tournament. 

MS Dhoni and Shreyas Iyer will take the field for the first time in IPL 2021 on April 10.

Due to COVID guidelines, the concept of home and away games has been done away with. Also, the evening games will begin at 7.30pm. 

The Afternoon matches will start at 3.30pm. 

Where is the IPL final? 
The IPL final will be played at the newly-built Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. Yes, this is the same stadium where India beat England in the last two Test matches of the series.
