According to various media reports, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly has earlier said that the organisers will try and keep the tournament in India. The last edition of the cash-rich league, which the Mumbai Indians had won, was played in the United Arab Emirates due to the coronavirus outbreak in India.

Media reports also suggest that a ‘mini-auction’ will be held after the first two India-England Tests. The Test, ODI and T20I series against England is set to begin on February 5
