Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant, who grew up with the Delhi Capitals, will face off against each other in today’s IPL 2022 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals.

Iyer represented DC for three seasons and led them to the final in 2020, but in 2021, he left ways and launched himself into the auction, where he was eventually picked up by KKR.

At KKR, he is the team’s captain, and they presently sit atop the points table with three wins from four games. DC, on the other hand, has been blowing hot and cold and will be hoping to get back on track after two straight losses.

Pant and Iyer are both seen as prospective India captains, and it will be interesting to see how they fare. The wicketkeeper-batter, on the other hand, may be feeling the pressure with only one game under his belt.

After losing to the other new team, the Gujarat Titans, the Capitals were defeated by the newcomers, the Lucknow Super Giants.

After defeating Mumbai Indians with a 15-ball 56 from Pat Cummins, KKR enters the match with a lot of confidence.

The defending champs appeared to be a well-oiled machine capable of handling any situation.
