Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in the 18th match of the 2022 Indian Premier League at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Saturday.
Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians are looking to register their first win this season after losing three games to remain pointless in the tournament so far. The team lost by four wickets to Delhi Capitals before suffering a 23-run and five-wicket defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.
With scores of 81, 54, and 14, Ishan Kishan has been a revelation at the top for the side, while young Tilak Varma (22, 61, 38) has made an impression in the middle-order.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, have won two games so far and are looking good after starting the season on a losing note. The team lost to Punjab Kings by five wickets in their opening game before registering back-to-back wins over Kolkata Knight Riders (by 3 wickets) and Rajasthan Royals (4 wickets).
RCB skipper Faf du Plessis has gotten off to a good start, scoring 122 from 3 games. On the bowling front, Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has been impressive. He is currently RCB’s lead wicket-taker with 6 scalps to his name.
