In a bid to bolster the #FreeTNTemples campaign, Isha Foundation has ventured into gaming space and launched a mobile game named ‘Kari and the Lost Shrines’. It is available on both iOS and Android platforms and can be downloaded for free. At the time of writing this article, the game was trending at number one in the ‘Adventure category’ on Google Play Store.

Kari and the Lost Shrines follows the story of protagonist Kari, who is on a mission to collect relics and restore temples to their full glory. The game has been downloaded over 20,000 times on both platforms.
According to the game’s description, “Kari is the embodiment of a warrior-protector. He sprints through serpentine greenwalks across deep unfamiliar forests and cascades though verdant veils to uncover long lost relics from ancient shrines. Relic-by-recovered-relic, he puts the shrines back together in a marvellous feat of restoration. The player of the game gets to be Kari in flesh and bones!”
The #FreeTNTemples campaign has expanded not only in India but also abroad. Several leaders from industry, media, and political parties have joined Isha’s founder Sadhguru to make a demand to free Tamil Nadu temples from state control.
The campaign was launched earlier in March this year. It has spread on social media with support from all quarters.
In mid-March, Sadhuguru started a Missed Call campaign so that people from across the world can show support to the cause by giving a missed call on 8300083000.
