A shocking CCTV footage of a leopard carrying away a pet dog has gone viral after it was shared on WhatsApp.
The video starts with a dog suddenly barking at the gate as it senses the leopard’s presence outside. Within seconds, the leopard is seen jumping over the gate and chasing the dog off-camera. After a while, the leopard is seen jumping out of the gate with the dog in its mouth.
Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan shared the footage on his Twitter handle saying, “See that leopard. Others don’t stand a chance”, and added that he received the clip via WhatsApp.

Since it was uploaded, the video has collected thousands of views. Also in the comments, Kaswan said leopards hunting dogs was a frequent occurrence in hilly areas and added that to prevent such attacks dog owners must cover their pet’s neck with an iron collar.
Many have replied to the post by sharing similar incidents of leopards entering their gates. One Twitter user named @Vijendra1Verma shared a story of a dog that survived leopard attacks twice.
