Amid rising COVID-19 cases and the “fourth wave” in Delhi, the government has imposed a night curfew starting from 10 pm to 5 am. The curfew will be in effect from April 6 till April 30. On April 5, Delhi recorded 3,548 fresh cases of COVID-19 infection and 15 deaths.
With the curfew in effect from tonight, here’s what will be operational and what will be closed in Delhi in the next 24 days –

- All restaurants, pubs, weddings, and other party venues will have to close up by 10 pm every day
- Those who want to go for COVID-19 vaccination will have to take an e-pass
- Doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff will also be allowed movement, however, they will have to show their ID cards.
- Patients and pregnant women are exempted
- Those engaged in essential services will be allowed movement through e-pass
- Passengers commuting to and from airports, railway stations, and bus stands will be exempted if they show valid tickets
- Public transport will be allowed to ferry only for those who exempted during the night curfew
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to lift the age criteria on COVID-19 vaccination across the country.

“Our government can vaccinate all people in Delhi within three months if rules simplified, permission granted to vaccinate all,” Kejriwal said.
