After writing to all his counterparts, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday wrote to India’s top industrialists, asking them to help with oxygen and tankers, reported ANI. “Please help Delhi government if you have oxygen and tankers,” the Delhi CM’s letter read.

“Help us in whatever way you can,” his letter further read.

The national capital in the midst of a major oxygen shortage, induced by the massive surge in COVID-19 cases as India is battling an aggressive second wave of COVID-19.

Several hospitals have been sounding alarm bells over the dwindling medical oxygen.

Kejriwal, on Saturday, wrote a letter to his counterparts in other states seeking their help in boosting medical oxygen supply in the national capital.

“I would be grateful if you could provide us with any oxygen, along with tankers, from your state or any organisation in your state. Kindly treat this as an SOS,” Kejriwal wrote in his letter to the chief ministers.

“I am writing to all CMs requesting them to provide oxygen to Delhi if they have spare. Though central govt is also helping us, the severity of corona is such that all available resources are proving inadequate,” the chief minister tweeted.

Delhi on Sunday extended its lockdown, as the country’s COVID-19 crisis grew with infections and deaths hitting record highs.
