To highlight the importance of fitness, more so during the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with fitness influencers, including cricketer Virat Kohli, on September 24 during a nation-wide online Fit India Dialogue.

The Dialogue, which is being organised to celebrate the first anniversary of the Fit India Movement, will see participation by former actor and fitness enthusiast Milind Soman and nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar among others, reports ANI.

“The online interaction will see participants sharing anecdotes and tips of their own fitness journey while drawing out guidance from the Prime Minister on his thoughts about fitness and good health,” an official statement said.

PM Modi, who is known to follow a regular fitness routine, had in 2018 accepted a fitness challenge by Kohli and shared a video of his exercise routine.  In the video, PM Modi could be seen doing several Yoga asanas, including pranayama.

Last year, the Fit India Movement saw an enthusiastic participation of people from all walks of life and from across the country. The Fit India Freedom Run, Cyclothon, Fit India Week, Fit India School Certificate and various other programmes saw a combined participation of over three crore people.
