The Delhi Traffic
police on Wednesday issued an advisory pertaining to various traffic diversions
and restrictions in place from January 22 in view of Republic Day Parade
rehearsals and celebrations.

According to Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police, route diversions
will be set up on January 22-23 and then on January 25-26 for vehicles commuting from Noida to Delhi.

The re-routing will be in place from 10 pm on January 22 till 1.30 pm the following day and then on
January 25 till January 26 for the same time duration, the traffic police said
in a statement.

The diversions are introduced to facilitate the full dress parade rehearsal for Republic Day and then the actual parade on January 26 in the national capital, a statement released by police said.

These roads will be banned for heavy movement

Heavy
good carriers will not be permitted to move towards Delhi from the Delhi-Noida
Direct (DND) flyway and the Kalindi Kunj route.

Movement of heavy
carriers will also be remain banned via the alternative New Ashok Nagar and Kondli
routes as well, the police confirmed.

Chilla border to remain closed due to farmers’ agitation

New Delhi’s Chilla border will be out of use considering the on going farmers’ protest against the newly enacted farm laws.

Thousands of farmers, majorly from Punjab and Haryana, are staying put at several points of Delhi borders, demanding a complete repeal of farm laws passed by the Union government in September last year.
