The shoot for the movie KGF: Chapter 2 resumed on Wednesday in Bangalore and director Prashanth Neel posted a picture from the sets of the movie on Twitter.

The director shared the picture of actor Prakash Raj, welcoming him on sets and wrote “Welcome on board.”

He added that the shoot for the movie had restarted and thanked fans for their love and excitement towards the movie.

A similar picture of the set of KGF: Chapter 2 was posted by actor Prakash Raj on his Twitter handle along with the caption “Start Camera…Action….Back to work.” The actor also posted another picture from the movie sets where he is seen indulging in a conversation with director Prashant Neel.

KGF: Chapter 2 is the second installed of the Kannada language blockbuster KGF Chapter 1 which was released in 2018. KGF: Chapter 2 became the second Kannada film after Phantom to resume its shoot after the coronavirus induced lockdown.

The executive producer of the movie Karthik Gowda in a recent interview with Cinema Express had said that the shooting for the movie would resume soon and had added that strict guidelines keeping in tune with the times would be enacted to complete shooting.

Karthik said, “We will be instituting strict guidelines on the sets, and we will have all the technicians temporarily camped at a nearby hotel, and will not be allowed to venture out until the schedule gets completed.”

According to Cinema Express, 90% of the shooting for the film had been completed and only a major fight sequence along with a few minor touch-ups remain to be filmed.

The movie stars Yash also known as Naveen Kumar Gowda in the lead role with Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt pitted as the antagonist. The movie was expected to release in October 2020 however it has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
