The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested two alleged drug dealers who have links with its probe in the drug trafficking case following the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Zaid Vilatra and Abdul Basit Parihar were detained in Mumbai for supplying narcotics.

According to ANI, the two accused had a connection with Samuel Miranda, Rhea Chakraborty’s associate. Miranda has been allegedly accused of procuring drugs on the instructions of Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty.

A special NCB team from Delhi, headed by deputy director (operations) KPS Malhotra, is camping in Mumbai to take forward this probe.

The team also includes agency officers from Mumbai and has been constituted by NCB Director General Rakesh Asthana.

Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14 at his apartment following which the Mumbai Police had registered a case of accidental death.

Sushant’s father KK Singh, subsequently filed a police complaint in Patna, accusing Rhea Chakraborty and her family of abetting Rajputs suicide and misappropriating his money.

The Supreme Court last week upheld the transfer of the FIR, lodged by the late actor’s father in Patna against the actress and others, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Currently, three agencies are probing the case: The CBI, Enforcement Directorate, and NCB.
