Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is all set to tie the knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur on Thursday, July 7 in a private ceremony at his residence in Chandigarh. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia will also attend the wedding.

Speaking to reporters, Aam Aadmi Party’s senior leader and party’s chief spokesperson of Punjab unit, Malvinder Singh Kang said, “Mann Sahab is getting married in a private ceremony here tomorrow. He will tie the knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur.”

It can be seen that this is Mann’s second wedding as he was earlier married to Inderjit Kaur but the couple had filed for mutual divorce in 2015. He has two children from his earlier marriage.

They had attended his swearing-in ceremony as the chief minister of Punjab in March this year.

According to Mann’s Facebook post, his divorce was not motivated by personal issues, and he chose Punjab over his family.

It is reported that Mann’s second wedding has been arranged by the chief minister’s mother and sister. His sister and mother both wanted him to marry again, and they both chose the bride.

However, not much is known about Gurpreet Kaur who is said to be from a common family in Punjab. Both Kaur and Mann have known each other for a long time now.
