Actor Hina Khan was trolled by social media users for celebrating Diwali. The actress posted some beautiful images on Instagram in which she was dressed in pink ethnic attire. Hina captioned the image, “Happy Diwali. Happiness, growth, good health and prosperity”.
Trollers started commenting on the post, some of which read, “Muslim hai ye …konse type ki Muslim?”, “Shame on u to call yourself a Muslim”, “Are you really a Muslim girl?” and “You sold your religion to live in India.”

Hina Khan has been targeted multiple times on social media and has received hate comments for her religious beliefs. Hina Khan did not respond to any of the comments but earlier this year she had been vocal about such kinds of trolls.
Who is Hina Khan?
Hina Khan was born on October 2, 1987, in Jammu and Kashmir. She was raised in a family of four and her father Aamir Khan was a travel agency owner. In 2009, she earned an MBA degree from the CCA School of Management, Gurgaon, Delhi.
Later she moved to Mumbai and auditioned for Sony TV’s singing reality show Indian Idol where she managed to be among the top 30 in 2008.
Currently, she is dating Rocky Jaiswal, a supervising producer in the television industry.

Hina Khan’s Acting Career
Hina Khan started her acting career in 2009 with the Star Plus television drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She earned massive recognition and fame after playing the role of Akshara in the daily soap. She left the show after eight years in November 2016 to pursue other acting projects. She received numerous awards and positive acclaim for her role in this serial.
In 2017, she participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 on Colors TV and ended up as the first runner-up. In the same year, she also participated in Colors TV’s reality show, Bigg Boss 11 as a celebrity contestant.
She was cast as the antagonist Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay in October 2018, but she quit the show in April 2019 and was replaced by Aamna Sharif. The very next year, she starred in Hussain Khan’s debut film Lines, which was scripted by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh. Later she appeared in many films like Soulmate, Wish List, The Country of the Blind, and Damaged 2.
In 2020, she made her big Bollywood Debut with Vikram Bhatt’s film Hacked alongside Sid Makkar.
Apart from acting in films, she also appeared in many music videos like Patthar Wargi, Baarish Ban Jana, Main Bhi Barbaad, and Seven One.
Hina Khan also walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and 2022.
