Kane Richardson made his IPL 2021 debut in the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) clash against the Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. 

Richardson is an Australian cricketer who predominantly plays as a fast bowler. He made his international debut for Australia on January 13, 2013, against Sri Lanka at Adelaide. He has played for Rajasthan Royals, Pune Warriors, and currently plays Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Richardson was born on February 12, 1991, in Eudunda, South Australia. He is known for his bowling skills, mainly in the death-overs. His IPL career began in 2013 after he was bought by Pune Warriors but only played three matches for them. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals in 2014 auctions. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL Auction 2020 for Rs 4 crore.

Richardson was picked by Australia for the 2019 ICC World Cup squad. He has made 25 appearances for Australia in ODI and 26 in T20. He has the best bowling figures of 5/68 in ODI.
