Siddharth Pithani, the former flatmate of Sushant Singh Rajput, has been arrested on Friday in a drug case linked to the late actor’s death.  He lived with Sushant at his Bandra flat in Mumbai and was one of the first witnesses to see Sushant hanging from the ceiling on June 14.

The alleged role of Siddharth in the drug case came to light during the NCB’s investigation and hence he was arrested, the official said.
Siddharth, who was also the creative manager of the late actor, was first questioned by the Mumbai Police just days after his death.

According to reports, Mumbai Police said that Pithani was aware that Sushant was prescribed medication for depression but had stopped taking these medicines in the days leading up to his death.

Siddharth also said that he didn’t know Rhea Chakraborty, the actor who was accused by Sushant%u2019s father KK Singh of abetment to suicide case.

Rhea was also accused of money laundering, among other charges. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Siddharth also said that he met Sushant a night before his death.
