Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has called for a high-level meeting on Sunday to decide the fate of class 12 exams. The exams were postponed in the wake of the second wave of coronavirus that swept across India.
The destiny of lakhs of students will be decided on Sunday as a final call around the board exams and other competitive exams will be taken in the crucial meeting. In 2020, exams for class 10th were cancelled and option was provided for class 12 students to appear for core subject exams.

Class 10 board exams for 2021 have already been cancelled.
The Board and Ministry of Education are mulling different options like holding exams for major subjects as well as cancellation, but a final decision will be made following the virtual meeting at 11.30 am on Sunday.
Pokhriyal took to Twitter on Saturday seeking inputs from students, teachers and parents. He said, “Friends, I need YOUR valuable suggestions too.”

The meeting will be headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Pokhriyal, along with Union Ministers Smriti Irani and Prakash Javdekar will also be present in the meeting.
