After Uttar Pradesh became the best performing
state in the Pradhan Mantri Awaz Yojana (PMAY), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
started trending on Twitter on Saturday.

PMAY aims to provide affordable housing to the urban poor setting a target
of building 20 million affordable houses by March 31, 2022.

In an effort to allot
houses to the poor and homeless as per PMAY guidelines, PM Narendra Modi laid
the foundation stone of the Light House Project, across six states including
Uttar Pradesh, under the Global Housing Technology Challenge India (GHTC-India)
on January 1, 2021.

Extending warm greetings for the New
Year, Adityanath said 17.58 lakh houses have been allotted under the ‘Housing
for All’ scheme so far, of which 6.15 lakh have been finished and given to poor
families. Remaining houses are currently under construction. He declared that
the Light House Project will set a benchmark in providing environment-friendly,
sustainable and disaster-resistant houses to the poor.

In light of this, hastag
#Yogiji_number_01 was the top trend on Twitter on Saturday. A government
spokesperson said that the hashtag was used to show support for CM Adityanath
and his efforts for the state.

“UP has become the best
performing state in PM Awas Yojana (Urban). In 2016, under the previous
