While speaking at the CNN town hall on Wednesday, Biden added that the White House is giving way to the scientists and experts and taking their recommendations into account to prevent the spread of such misinformation.
"I mean, literally listening to the scientists and not interfere. Not rush anything, just make — let the scientists proceed. They desperately want to get this right", he said at the town hall address.
Biden stressed that the White House is using every possible way "public, private, government, non-government" to spread correct information about the available COVID vaccines.
In an attempt to push the plunging vaccination rates of the United States, Biden said that the pandemic continues to exist for those who still remain unvaccinated against COVID-19.
"If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized. You're not going to be in an ICU unit. And you are not going to die", Biden explained at the town hall address hosted by CNN.
According to statements from Dr Rochelle Walensky, Director of the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, a day before Biden's appearance, the Delta variant of coronavirus was now dominating the COVID-19 statistics of the United States.
She said more than 80% of the sequenced samples of recent cases verified by the CDC were of the Delta variant, with a majority of them coming from the unvaccinated chunk.
According to reports from CNN, the current pace of vaccination in the United States (seven-day average) is 252,647 people fully vaccinated per day while 516,441 doses were being used every day.
More than 48.8% of the United States population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, so far.
