Bastille Day, an equivalent to French
Independence Day
is celebrated on July 14 every year with great fervor. French
revolutionaries stormed the prison on this day to revolt against the rule of
the king and free the prisoners.

French celebrate this day with family and
friends, along with some great food and wine. France remains a world leader in
terms of producing every style of wine, using indigenous grape varieties.
France is also the second-largest producer of wine after Italy, producing 43.9
million hectoliters in 2020.

Pairing food with wine has been the norm among the French and this tradition is followed even on Bastille Day.

Louis de Camponac Pinor Noir– This wine
is affordable and easy to drink. It consists of dark, spicy fruits with a
smooth finish. The best food to complement this would be a roast duck and goat’s
cheese salad.

Louis de Camponac Cabernet Sauvignon– This
consists of a great level of tannins. With a blend of blackberry, blackcurrant,
chocolatey oak, and cedar, it goes great with a nice juicy burger. Different
types of red meat also complement this wine.

Lot 170 Muscadet Sevre Et Maine– This wine
comes from the northwest corner of France, the Western Loire Valley. This white
wine basic characteristic is a mix of lemon-lime acidity. This wine would go
well with all kinds of seafood and fish.

known for the rose category all over the world. The smell is effervescent of
strawberry and raspberry aromas. The juice of both fruits is balanced in terms
of acidity. This wine would go well with grilled chicken.

known to have the best wine in the world. For centuries, it’s a classic, old-world style. It is a blend of green apple and pear flavors with a tinge of new
oak. This would go well with grilled seafood, vegetables, and even cream soups.
