Women’s bodies change as they pass through their thirties and into their forties. Metabolism, which had been fast up to that point, begins to slow down, resulting in fewer calories being burned. This leads to weight gain, and reducing becomes a difficult task. Sugar cravings grow stronger, and energy levels begin to decrease.

This, however, can be reduced by implementing simple changes in one’s everyday routine. Women over forty can have a better life by adjusting their diet and watching what they eat, as well as doing the correct kind of activity on a daily basis.

Anjali Mukerjee, a nutritionist who is known for regularly giving fitness-related ideas and information on her Instagram feed, provided her insights on how to stay active after forty. She listed several points that should be included in everyday routine.

Snack on nuts and seeds: Instead of snacking on processed foods and sugary foods, Anjali advised ladies to eat healthy foods like nuts and seeds, particularly almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds, which are high in nutrients.

Protein intake: After the age of forty, according to Anjali, the body’s protein intake should be increased.

Exercise: To stay fit, it is recommended that you commit to a workout regimen and follow it religiously on a daily basis.

Add fiber to the diet: Sanja, chia seeds, and Isabgol are high in fiber and provide a variety of health benefits. Fibers in the form of these foods, according to the dietitian, should be included in the diet.

Consume whole grains: Every day, whole dals, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables should be consumed, ideally in the form of home-cooked meals. However, that wheat should be avoided while eating out, said the nutritionist.

Fill the void: Be conscious of your body’s deficiencies and, as a result, take the supplements your body requires.
