Are you someone who loves wearing a sari on all occasions but confused about how to make it look different this festive season? Well, try out some different draping pattern and add quirk to your look with elegant accessories.

“Stylize your six yards with accessories like waist belts, jackets, natural floral accessories, boots, sneakers, etc to add a dab of your personality to the look,” Raghuvar Seth, Head of Marketing, Taneira, Titan Company Limited, told Opoyi

He also says that women should opt for a sari with broad woven border designs done up in rich motifs to complement this festive season.

“Women should invest in timeless pieces that look graceful irrespective of occasions. They should adopt for weaves like silk cotton from Chanderi and Maheshwari that have the sheen of silk and comfort of cotton to suit the festivities. They can also look at handcrafted silks from Banaras and Kanchipuram that add a classic demeanour to an individuals’ personality.

“Also, vibrant tones ranging from rich hues of reds to mesmerizing magentas, midnight purple, to ultramarine blue works well. Soothing and elegant pastels of peach and pink also bring alive small and big celebrations,” he added.

When it comes to blouses, one could try unconventional replacements.

“My vote goes to the innovative Indo-Western combinations and unconventional pairings for you to stand out amidst the crowd this festive season. Ditch the regular blouses with the shararas and pair them up with some super unconventional options such as a hand-embroidered, half jacket, or a blazer with intricate zari work or a tunic,” Designer Anaita Shah of the label Kaprapan told Opoyi.

Also If you are not sari fans, look for options like the dhoti pant set.

“Your dhoti pant set will look super stylish with pleated kaftan style shirt, classy and sassy both at the same time. The Indian embroidery touch to the western jumpsuits is again a beautiful combination of feminity and fierceness. A little bit theatre in the form of drape sleeves or at the handcuffs will add to the grace of the look,” she said.

Also, a short Nehru jacket with embroidered golden sequins or a double-breasted suede hand-embroidered overcoat will glam up even a simple outfit instantly.
